George Truett Jarrard, III (“Trey”) – President/Founder

Trey is an experienced business developer with over 15 years of experience in biotechnology, online business, and digital distribution. He identified and participated in financing for WebMD, from inception to the $5 billion acquisition by Healtheon. He was Director of Business Development and Strategic Relations and established a critical pharmaceutical online marketing format in the highly visible, direct-to-consumer market.

From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Jarrard, introduced U.S. equity sources for Argentinean boutique hotel developers and managed his private investments

From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Jarrard served as Senior Vice President and Partner for The Convex Group, a New Venture Media Marketing Company located in Atlanta, GA. His duties included assisting in raising capital for new ventures, building relationships with leading entertainment companies to launch new digital entertainment products, and negotiating distribution contracts with non-traditional digital retailers. Mr. Jarrard sold initial business propositions to global content and distribution partners, developed a content licensing template utilized with the five major US music distributors, and helped launch two alternative distribution consumer entertainment products, LidRock™ and Flexplay™. He also helped the company identify and acquire HowStuffWorks.com in 2001 that sold to Discovery Networks in 2007 for $250 million dollars.

From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Jarrard served as Director of Business Development and Strategic Relations for WebMD, an online medical information provider. Mr. Jarrard arranged early financing for WebMD’s predecessor company which was ultimately acquired by Healtheon in 1999 for over $5 billion. Mr. Jarrard established a critical pharmaceutical online marketing format for WebMD, and architected multiple virtual disease condition resource centers. Mr. Jarrard helped create the strategic and operational planning that led WebMD from a $150 million loss in 2000 to break even by the end of 2002.

From 1999 to 2000, Mr. Jarrard served as Product Marketing Manager for GUIDANT-Vascular Intervention located in Santa Clara, CA. His duties included designing and developing a marketing strategy for the product, conducting technical seminars for physicians, and training a national sales force. He helped forecast demand and managed logistics that led to the successful launch of the company which generated over $600 million dollars in revenue in the first year.

From 1994 to 1999, Mr. Jarrard served as Senior Sales Representative for CPI/Guidant, a health sensor technology company located in Atlanta, GA. His duties included selling the product to targeted physicians, building relationships with medical staff, and conducting on-going training for cardio care staff. While at CPI/Guidant, Mr. Jarrard opened the leading revenue account for the Atlanta division, developed go-to-market strategies for educating the medical community in cardiac care technology, and was accepted into the North Atlantic Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology.

From 1993 to 1994, Mr. Jarrard served as Field Clinical Representative for Sensor Technology before they were acquired by CPI in 1994.

Mr. Jarrard received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Georgia in 1993. He is also an active board member and Chairman of Finance for Create Your Dreams (a non-profit organization that mentors children from underdeveloped areas in Atlanta).
